Giving an old electric product a new life. That was the assignment during the CIID summer camp. The only restriction was to use Arduino and change its function. By choosing a food grinder the aim was to not change it’s appearance, but only the interaction with the product. This resulted in a food grinder not able to grind food any more, but able to emit every color of light. The knife normally turning and grinding the food was now the controller for the light color. The piece for pushing the good in to the grinder was now the controller for the amount of white in the light. Things are not always what they seem to be.
